On the 3rd of December 2025, the Western Cape Rehabilitation Centre (WCRC) in Lentegeur celebrated International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Members of staff organised an array of performances, guest speakers and entertainment for the patients of WCRC that aimed to raise awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities and breakdown barriers and stigma against members of our community.
The day’s celebrations even made headlines of the local newspaper, the Plainsman.
