In celebration of Occupational Therapy Day 2024, themed “Occupational Therapy for All,” the OTs from the Western Cape Rehabilitation Centre participated in an enriching off-site team-building event. The team enjoyed a game of lawn bowls, fostering camaraderie, meaningful conversations, and collaborative planning for future OT initiatives.
This interactive afternoon highlighted the value of participation and inclusion, reflecting our commitment to engaging our clients in all ADLs. Experiencing the joy of a sporting activity ourselves as OTs was inspiring. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Facility Board for providing the funding that made this meaningful event possible.
It was a wonderful reminder of the vital role of sports in building connections and promoting well-being—values central to occupational therapy.
